Innovative Fibre Industries, Inc. is a company that manufacturers cellulose insulation made from recycled paper to produce an insulation material with superior thermal and acoustic properties. The concept of the company is to use its core product of cellulose insulation in a wide range of applications and end-use building products to improve the energy efficiency and sound control of residential, commercial, and agricultural buildings.
The IFI team has decades of experience in the industry and are passionate about improving the performance of insulation for buildings in the Philippines and around the world. IFI is committed to providing creative solutions with a high level of customer satisfaction. The team shares a common goal to champion environmentally friendly systems without compromising performance. Included in this goal is a dedication to managing business and manufacturing operations in an environmentally responsible manner.
After 5 years of operation, IFI has come to understand the market requirements in the Philippines and South-East Asia and is now developing value-added products tailored to this market.
Our dedicated team has spent many years developing strategic partnerships with manufacturers and users of fibre insulation technologies from the United States of America and Australia. This allows us to provide our clients with the most appropriate insulation solution, incorporating thermal and acoustic needs, the building environment and use, and aesthetic requirements.
Insulation as a standard building product is widely accepted and used in most western countries. Across South-East Asia in recent years the insulation industry has been steadily growing and gaining market share. The specific insulation type of cellulose insulation has been manufactured and installed in countries such as USA since the 1950’s to reduce building heat loss and gain, and for soundproofing by reducing noise transmission.
Within South-East Asia, cellulose insulation is a relatively new product with only a small number of manufacturers and installers operating in this market. The key driving factors for the growing market across South-East Asia are an increase in consumer awareness of energy conservation, and recognition of the benefits of thermal and acoustic solutions to create comfortable working and living conditions.
IFI recognizes the need for improved insulation options to support environmental and ecologically responsible initiatives and is working towards offering sustainable solutions for all current and future customers.
IFI is at the forefront of economically and sustainable insulation products. Current trends in the global insulation market show an increase in the use of insulation products within the Philippines and across South-East Asia. This is fuelled by an increase in ecological awareness by influencers in different market sectors, such as architects, contractors, and developers. In turn, this awareness leads to environmentally friendly and energy conscious product and building material choices by these influencers.
As a supplier of insulation products IFI aims to offer solutions to meet sector demands and to support the growth of this global market in the Philippines and South East Asia.
IFI manufactures the primary product of cellulose insulation. Cellulose insulation is an environmentally friendly thermal and acoustic insulation made from 85% recycled paper. The remaining 15% of the product are boron minerals which are added during the manufacturing process. The addition of the boron minerals makes the insulation fire retardant (class *A*), mould and mildew resistant, a corrosion inhibitor, and a pest deterrent.
The eco-friendly nature of IFI products is a result of the manufacturing process where IFI takes a product destined for waste and turns it into a product that positively impacts the environment through a reduction in landfill and a reduction in electricity and power usage from consumers trying to achieve thermal comfort. As IFI products gain popularity, further benefits will ensue including a reduction in greenhouse gases produced in order to import other insulation products, and a reduction in the harmful chemicals released into the atmosphere when other insulation products are manufactured.
The products manufactured by IFI require only a small amount of power during the manufacturing process in addition to being locally produced, and therefore have a minimal carbon footprint.
